a staple in my collection
vanilla smoke has earned its spot. the mix of soft vanilla, smoky sandalwood, and warm amber is simply irresistible. it's sophisticated but still so comforting. lasts all day, a true workhorse. you can't go wrong with this one.

pleasant but not for me
the initial spray is quite heavy on the vanilla, which leaned a little too sweet for my taste. it does dry down to a nice smoky amber, but that initial impression is a hurdle. it's definitely cozy, just a bit more gourmand than i usually go for. could be great for others though.

almost there. dry-down actually wins.
composition is a near-match. the dry-down skews slightly sweeter than the original which honestly works better on me. one less star because the top notes evaporate a touch faster.

great, but short-lived sillage
the blend of soft vanilla and smoky sandalwood is gorgeous, truly cozy and inviting. it’s a wonderful gourmand-woody scent for colder days. i find the initial sillage is fantastic but it settles into a very close skin scent a bit too fast for my liking. still happy with the purchase.

good imitation, fades too fast
the scent itself is spot on, that familiar soft vanilla with smoky sandalwood. it's a lovely gourmand-woody blend. however, i find the throw diminishes quite rapidly after the first hour. it then becomes a very intimate skin scent, which is fine, but i'd prefer more longevity.

i really enjoy the gourmand-woody blend here. the vanilla is smooth and the smoke isn't overpowering. it's excellent for layering with other woody scents. my only small wish is for a little more sillage for the first hour. otherwise, it's a solid win.

the soft vanilla and smoky sandalwood are divine, truly a perfect pairing. the warm amber base adds lovely depth. i just wish the light leather note came through a little stronger; it’s almost imperceptible to me. still, a fantastic everyday fragrance.
