- we cover return shipping if the order was faulty, broken, or wrong. you cover it for changes of mind.
how to start a return
email [email protected] with your order number (the MD-XXXX string) and a one-line note on why you're returning it. we use the "why" to improve the catalog, not to gatekeep — saying "it just didn't suit me" is a complete answer.
we'll reply within one working day with a prepaid return label (if we owe you) or a paid return address (if it's a change of mind) and a return reference. drop the parcel at any post office or courier collection point.
what we accept
- full bottles — opened or unopened, doesn't matter.
- discovery-set decants — opened or unopened.
- gift sets — return the full set, opened or unopened.
what we don't accept
- items marked "final sale" in their product description.
- bottles that arrive back damaged from poor packing — please keep some bubble wrap or the original mr. dupe box to wrap the return; glass that breaks in transit on its way back to us can't be refunded.
- orders past the 30-day window. we'll always look at edge cases on a case-by-case basis if you write to us.
refund timing
once your return arrives at our grasse atelier, we check the items back in within one working day. the refund posts to your original payment method within five working days of receipt — most banks then take another 2–5 days to actually display the credit on your statement. that bit's out of our hands.
if you paid with klarna or a buy-now-pay-later provider, the refund settles their balance first before any remaining credit returns to your card.
exchanges
we don't do direct swaps — the inventory system doesn't support it cleanly, and we'd rather refund you and let you place a fresh order for the right product than do a partial-exchange dance.
for fastest service, place the new order first (so it ships immediately), then start the return on the original — the refund will land while the new bottle is already on its way.
your eu consumer rights
our 30-day window goes beyond the eu's mandatory 14-day cooling-off period under the consumer rights directive. nothing here removes your right to that statutory 14-day window — our extra 16 days are a brand commitment on top.
if you ever feel a return has been handled wrongly, you can raise it with the consumer protection authority in the eu country where you live. we'd prefer you wrote to us first at [email protected] — we've resolved every complaint we've ever had, without exception.
