terms of service

these terms are the agreement between you and mr. dupe when you use the site or buy from us. the detail is below, but the heart of it:

• our fragrances are our own, inspired by the character of well-known scents. we're not affiliated with the original houses, and we never claim to be.
• prices are in euros, you need to be 18 or older, and we ship across the eu.
• the mr. dupe club renews monthly and you can cancel any time.
• if something arrives faulty or wrong, we'll make it right.

by using mrdupe.com or placing an order, you accept these terms. you need to be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract. we sell and deliver to the european union countries shown at checkout. if you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site.

you can shop as a guest or create an account. if you create one, keep your details accurate and keep your password or passkey to yourself. you're responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us at [email protected] straight away if you think someone else has got in. we can suspend or close an account that's used to break these terms or the law.

mr. dupe designs and sells its own fragrances, inspired by the character of well-known designer and niche scents. this is the part worth reading closely.

mr. dupe is independent. we are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any of the original fragrance houses or designers whose scents inspire ours. where we name an original perfume or house, we do it only to describe, honestly, the scent family and character of a mr. dupe fragrance so you know what to expect. those names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and we claim no rights in them.

our fragrances are not the originals and are not sold as the originals. they are mr. dupe's own interpretations, made by us. that is the whole idea: the scent, none of the markup.

when you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. a contract forms once we confirm the order and it's on its way, not before. we may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was clearly wrong, or if we suspect fraud. if we cancel an order you've paid for, you get a full refund of that order.

all prices are in euros and include vat where it applies. delivery costs are shown before you pay. payment is taken at checkout through our payment processor, which handles your card details securely. we never see or store your full card number. if a price is listed incorrectly by mistake, we'll let you know before the order ships and you can choose to go ahead at the right price or cancel.

the mr. dupe club is our membership. it costs 19.90 euros a month after any trial shown at sign-up, and it renews automatically each month until you cancel.

you can cancel any time from your account. cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for. if we ever change the price or the perks, we'll tell you in advance so you can decide whether to stay.

we ship to the eu countries listed at checkout. delivery times shown on the site are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by the courier. responsibility for the order passes to you once it's delivered to the address you gave us. if a delivery goes wrong, email [email protected] and we'll chase it with you.

as an eu shopper, you have 14 days from delivery to change your mind about most orders and ask for a refund. for hygiene reasons, that right doesn't cover fragrances that have been opened or used, in line with eu consumer law, since a scent can't be safely resold once it's been unsealed.

none of that limits your rights when something is faulty. if an item arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, we'll replace it or refund it, including the delivery cost. to start a return either way, email [email protected] with your order number.

please use the site as it's meant to be used. don't try to break it, scrape it, or harvest data from it with bots; don't use it for anything illegal; and keep reviews and messages honest and free of content you don't have the right to post. we may remove content or restrict access if this is ignored.

the mr. dupe name, logo, site design, text, photography, and the way our fragrances are presented belong to mr. dupe. you're welcome to use the site to browse and shop, but you can't copy, resell, or reuse our content for your own commercial purposes without our written permission.

we build and run mr. dupe with reasonable care, but we can't promise the site will always be available or error-free. to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. nothing in these terms limits our liability for things that can't legally be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud, and nothing here affects the consumer rights you have by law.

we may update these terms as the shop evolves. when we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for anything significant we'll flag it clearly. the terms that apply to your order are the ones in force when you place it.

these terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of the country in which mr. dupe is established. wherever you live in the eu, you keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your home country, and you can always raise a concern with your local consumer authority.
